Edward Gorey Exhibit in Toronto

on September 26, 2007 | 6 Comments

Here’s one for all those Edward Gorey fans living in our fine city:

From September 15th to December 7th, 2007, the Lillian J. Smith Branch (239 College St.) of the Toronto Public Library is hosting “Gorey Tales”, an exhibit of works by celebrated writer/illustrator Edward Gorey.

Additionally, on Thursday October 4, at 8 p.m., the branch will be holding a lecture called “Edward Gorey, His Antecedents and Affinities” by Dr. Andrew Biswell, from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Please consider checking this out, as it would be great to see the Toronto Public Library hosting more of these sorts of exhibits/events.

Thanks Monica for the reminder. I saw this poster and promptly forgot!

  2. Dave says:

I think a Rue Morgue field trip might be in order for this. Who wants to gas up the Bus of the Undead?

  3. Jovanka says:

Dave, it’s not Dracula, it’s just a damn school bus!

Not surprising, it’s the episode with the Mothmonsterman, you Mothmaniac!

  4. Monica says:

    Dracula IS the bus!!!

  5. Dave says:

    Dracula vs Mothman: discuss.

  6. Gary says:

G is for Gary who wants to go badly. But was attacked by the Mothman and Dracula, sadly.
