Of Mystery and the Macabre: The Guy Davis Exhibition

Calling all Toronto area comic book nerds: this weekend has something to look forward to, the Toronto ComiCON. But for the horror-loving comic nerds (like myself) there’s something cooler going on off-site:
Of Mystery and the Macabre: The Guy Davis Exhibition
This Saturday, February the 27th, one of my favourite comic artists, Guy Davis is hosting a workshop followed by an exhibit of his work and a Q&A conducted by SPACE TV’s Mark Askwith at the Gladstone Hotel.
The workshop, Constructive Storytelling: The 180 Minute Master Class runs from 1pm – 4pm. Admission to the workshop is $105 per person; but since only fifteen spots are available the setting will be intimate, interactive and will allow everyone time to pick this Eisner Award winner’s brain for tips and tricks.
Following the workshop/lecture will be Of Mystery and the Macabre, running 7:30 – 11:30, featuring works by Guy David from his work in Sandman Mystery Theatre, The Marquis and Mike Mignola’s B.P.R.D. The exhibit is free admission and should be a great time!
So if you’re a horror comic artist with $105 to spare, contact info@artoriginals.ca to register your spot in the workshop.
The Gladstone Hotel is located at 1214 Queen Street West.
