Cryptic Collectibles: NEW WALKING DEAD TV SERIES ACTION FIGURES!
With The Walking Dead‘s heart-rending mid-season finale having just aired Sunday night, I thought it the perfect time to let fans know (if they don’t already) about a fantastic line of TV series-inspired 6-inch figures that will soon be hitting stores. Series One will be comprised of four offerings: Deputy Rick Grimes, fan-favourite Daryl Dixon and two flesh-eaters: the Zombie Walker and Zombie Biter.
Being that they’re produced by McFarlane, the detailing here is nothing less than first-rate. Both Grimes and Dixon bear an uncanny resemblance to actors Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus. The zombies themselves look great and come with “walking” and “biting” action features to boot! Demand for these incredible looking figures (which are expected to be released in January) is sure to be high, so I’d probably recommend pre-ordering a set now.
A Series Two in the line is already planned and expected figures include Shane (Jon Bernthal) and Andrea (Laurie Holden).
In the meantime, for that Walking Dead fan on your holiday gift list, a number of collectibles are available right now that include McFarlane’s line of comic book-inspired figures, a set of three 6 1/2-inch mini-busts from NECA and a new Walking Dead TV series board game from Cryptozoic Entertainment.

Sweet, sweet, sweet. Thanks for posting that, James!

anyone knows where to buy?
I can find “Zombie Lurker” and “Zombie Roamer” in Toys R Us, but no idea where to buy “Zombie Walker” and “Zombie Biter”.
I checked most of the sites which sell Macfarlane’s toys, but still can not find any.
Anyone has any clue?
That’s interesting that they are being offered at Toys ‘R Us.
I believe I saw some of the comic-book styled figures at Suspect Video here in Toronto, but I’m not sure what other stores would have them at the moment.
