Islands’ “Hallways” Video Will Get Your Bones Shakin’

on February 24, 2012 | 3 Comments

Alright, I admit the gray, sleety Friday afternoon currently transpiring outside my window at The House of Horror is probably making me a little more vulnerable to all the handclaps and footstomps going on in Islands’ new video for “Hallways” from their new album A Sleep & A Forgetting (out now from ANTI-/Epitaph). But damn it if it doesn’t remind me just how highly effective and grossly underrated clapping and stomping truly are in turning frowns upside down.

Directed by Lex Halaby and Toben Seymour, this clip’s skeleton cabaret reminds me of the stop-motion animation in Adam Jones’ early videos for TOOL…except happier.
