Toy and game designer, Richard Todd Broadwater, is on a quest to bring his line of excellent LEGENDARY MONSTERS figures to life!  To do this, he is offering the public a chance to get involved through a special Kickstarter campaign.

According to the press release, LEGENDARY MONSTERS is a line of action figures based on “monsters of urban legend and folklore.”  Many of you will also recognize these figures as famous cryptozoology creatures:  Mothman, Chupacabra, Jersey Devil, and the Missouri Monster (Momo).  As fan of cryptozoo monsters and horror toys, I gotta say these are some extremely cool figures!  Each of the four monsters comes with an eyewitness figure, a diorama base depicting the surroundings, and a written account of the real-life eyewitness account right on the package.

I saw photos of the creature designs several years ago and tried to track them down, only to find that they had never actually been produced.  I’ve written a previous blog entry on the subject of Momo, so the thought of an action figure based on this character – as well as the rest of them – was certainly wishful thinking… until now.  It has been a long road for Broadwater to make these a reality, something that he explains in more detail on the LEGENDARY MONSTERS Kickstarter page.  To view the page, see more photos, and find out how you can get these monsters, go to the following link:
