Manyak II

Here’s a Turkish Phantasm II poster for sale on eBay right now. I imagine the word “phantasm” doesn’t translate that well throughout the world, so it’s no suprise that the film’s title is “Manyak II,” which, according to the Turkish-English translator I found online, means “maniac” or “manical” (sadly, not some half-human, half-yak centaur-like creature).

I think the best part of this one is the title font, though, as the image collage is pretty pedestrian as far as horror films go. Scared faces: check, graveyard: check, beautiful woman in state of undress: check and, oh yeah, skull: check. James LeGros looks terrified that he might sneak a peak at some nipple, while that skull is the definition of “afterthought.”
