Zombies With Sweet Packages
Edios Interactive Games is releasing a zombie game called Touch the Dead for the Nintendo DS. The “M-rated game — will invite players to ‘point-and-shoot their way out of a prison teeming with the undead.’” As you can see by the trailer video below (which seems to be the game with the earlier title Dead ‘n’ Furious) the animation is just slightly better than Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing” video. The real reason to care about this, though, is the game box art designed by Arthur Suydam, whose gruesome, organic style you’ll recognize from the Marvel Zombies covers. Arthur’s site is pretty sparse but there are a few pieces of cool art. See it here.
On a side note, he’s also doing covers for the, cheesy cash grab, I mean much needed, sequel to Marvel Zombies, called Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness. I’ve read the first two issues and they’re super lame. That’s what happens when you start with a stupid concept, though. Hey, Marvel, how long ’til Chucky vs. The X-Men?
