“Oh, you’re so COOL, Brewster!”

Bloody Disgusting has a post about Stephen Geoffreys’ return to horror. Stephen Geoffreys is best known for his role in Fright Night as main character Charlie Brewster’s best friend, the squeaky-voiced weirdo Evil Ed. Endless fun is had around the Rue Morgue offices doing impersonations of Evil Ed (Gary’s are the best).

Whether or not you remember who Stephen Geoffreys is, this is probably one of the biggest pieces of news we’ve ever reported here on Bloody-Disgusting. Any fan of the classic ‘85 horror pic Fright Night or the ‘89 pic 976-Evil knows that Geoffreys pretty much vanished into the night… until now. B-D learned exclusively that Geoffreys, who is best known as ‘Evil’ Ed Thompson in Fright Night, is making his return to horror in a new film by Eben McGarr called Sick Girl, inside you’ll find pictures of him on set!!!

“Vanished into the night” — no, he became a gay porn star, appearing as “Sam Ritter” in titles such as Latin Crotch Rockets, Leather Intrusion Case 4: Down to the Wire and the not-so imaginatively titled Guys Who Crave Big Cock. It’s all there on the IMDb, so why the selective memory lapse, BD? It’s strange. As pointed out in This Film is Not Yet Rated, the doc about the MPAA, American culture in particular has little problem with gore and extreme violence, but “deviant” sex? Fuggedaboutit!
