Mothmackin’!

Boingboing posted this link to some photos from this past weekend’s Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant. Mothman costumes! Mothman pancakes!! “Elect Mothman” T-shirts!!! Despite the creepy, vaguely vaginal rubber Mothman mask, it looks like a blast. Somebody please send me an Elect Mothman T-shirt!

And for all you Mothman doubters out there, as the trippy Frazetta Mothman print above (available here) proves, the Mothman is indeed pretty bad-ass, and so damn elusive due to a marked lack of Mothwomen, apparently.

Oh, and if you were wondering, between putting the monster Halloween issue to bed and trying to see all the horror films at the Toronto International Film Festival, the burnout factor around the Morgue is pretty high right now. More ambitious blog posting to come. You can bet your powdery moth wings on it.
