Rondo Awards 2007 nominations announced.
The official ballots are open for the 6th Annual Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards. Rue Morgue is up for best magazine, best article (with two nominations for ‘Kids vs. Monsters,’ by Chris Alexander and Jovanka Vuckovic, RUE MORGUE #69. Interviews with director Fred Dekker, the cast of Monster Squad and for ‘Roll for Your Life: Three Decades of Horror-Themed Board Games,’ by Last Chance Lance, RUE MORGUE #73). As well as nominations for best magazine cover for Issue #64 (The HOST), best convention for our annual Festival of Fear, and one for the newest category, best audio horror site or podcast, for Rue Morgue Radio.

Congratulations on the nominations. Being a monster fan for many years, and an avid magazine reader, I can firmly say RM is the most entertaining and concise mainstream horror publication out there. It’s not all splatter and you realize that: it’s heartening to see coverage of the old and the new and everything in-between.
