Gallo, Giallo, Gallo, Giallo…

C.H.U.D. has reported that Dario Argento is about to begin shooting his next film, which will be called Giallo and stars Vincent Gallo. That is so awesome and ridiculous at the same time, I suspect there is a god and he wears black gloves. I saw Mother of Tears at TIFF and thought that Dario [...]

Q&A with Me on Fearzone.com

I was recently interviewed by horror ezine Fearzone.com about Rue Morgue and Burning Effigy Press (my own micro publishing company), among other topics. Right now it’s the front page story on the site, but for those checking it out later, you can reach the Q&A directly by visiting http://www.fearzone.com/blog/monica-kuebler. Enjoy!

This spoof of an iPhone ad using interview footage with David Lynch has been hitting the net hard ‘n’ fast, so in case you haven’t seen it yet, enjoy (it’s not quite safe for work). I can’t help but find his comments ironic, though, given that his latest, Inland Empire, looks like it was shot [...]

Juno Nuthin’ ’bout Horror!

Time to take a break from the emailpalooza that is my inbox after being away for a month, to bitch a little bit.
I saw Juno over the weekend, and while it almost lives up to the hype (particularly due the awesome performance of Hard Candy’s Ellen Page), there are some pretty ludicrous bits of banter [...]
