Featured in Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl is The 13th Nationwide High School Student Wrist Cut Rally (Dai-13-kai Zenkoku Kôkô Risutokatto Taikai) - see 00:00:55 in the theatrical trailer for it. Above is a photo of a poster for that fictitious event; the poster model is Sayako Nakoshi, who recently starred in Nishimura's Tokyo Gore Police ( Tôkyô zankoku keisatsu) spin-off short "63 Minutes Later" ("63-fun-go") - see still below.
BTW, as I previously indicated, Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl was jointly directed by Tomomatsu and Nishimura (which is why the theatrical trailer for it refers to it as "a Naoyuki Tomomatsu and Yoshihiro Nishimura film"); it wasn't directed solely by Nishimura, as others are suggesting.

A gallery of production stills from Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl is included in the Fangoria Online article "First report, outrageous pics: Japan's VAMPIRE GIRL VS. FRANKENSTEIN GIRL!" (April 22nd).
According to Fangoria Online, Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl stars Yukie Kawamura as Monami, Eri Otoguro as Keiko, Takumi Saitô as Jugon, Kanji Tsuda as Keiko's father, and Eihi Shiina as Monami's mother. Tomomatsu wrote the screenplay for the movie. Tak Sakaguchi (Sakaguchi Taku) was the fight choreographer for it.
Here's a synopsis for Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl from Fangoria Online: "[ Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl] is set in a high school located at the base of Tokyo Tower. But this is not your typical straitlaced Japanese institute of learning: It's a special school set aside for the underbelly of Japan's teens, social misfits and all-around freaks. So why is the too-cute-for-words Monami in their ranks? Because she's a bloodsucker - but even vampires have feelings, and come Valentine's Day, Monami gives chocolates to handsome classmate Jugon. Unfortunately, Jugon finds himself with a case of the cramps after ingesting them. You see, Monami has laced the treats with her blood in order to transform him into one of her kind, so that the two may live happily ever after in undeaded bliss! ¶ Understandably, this doesn't sit well with Jugon's current steady, Keiko. Taking on Monami, Keiko stands little chance against her classmate's supernatural powers, and the jealous girl is killed. However, Keiko's sadistic scientist father patches her back together using parts gathered from various freak students, giving Keiko enough power to equal or perhaps even best Monami. It is at this point that the true battle between Vampire Girl and Frankenstein Girl begins!"

Looks almost as outrageous as Tokyo Gore Police. I don't know if Tomomatsu can write as didn't pen the screenplays for either Stacey or the slightly superior Zombie Self Defense Force(which is occasionally pretty wild) but both his and Nishimura's involvement guarantees many nubile schoolgirls bathed in gallons of red karo syrup. That's as good an incentive as any.  |
