This month’s featured Rue Morgue Finery is the new cast pewter belt buckle, designed by Ghoulish Gary Pullin. We look at the original drawing that led to the creation of this horror haberdashery Gary’s christened “Coffin Teeth.”
No doubt you’ve seen Rue Morgue Finery’s new Skull King tees in the mag. Regal, understated, cool, dark and deadly. Largely thought to be one of the tightest shirt designs ever created at the House of Horror, it should be no surprise then that its creation grew out of one of Rue Morgue’s finest hours (the 100th issue), and was a tag-team effort by the double threat of Ghoulish Gary and Justin Erickson.
Gary had this to say about how it came to be…
Earlier this year, Rue Morgue founder Rodrigo Gudiño decided it was high time to christen RM‘s fashion fearward line of creepy clothing, jewelry and accessories, especially in light of the new slate of designs introduced at the 2010 Festival of Fear. Hence, Rue Morgue Finery was born – a name that, for us, perfectly summarizes our commitment to producing high-quality, orb-popping garments and apparel, designed by RM‘s very own Ghoulish Gary Pullin and Justin Erickson.
