The surprise box-office success of this summer is now poised to take a bite out of the home market as 47 METERS DOWN heads for video release. Read on for the info, cover art and trailer.
Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that 47 METERS DOWN will arrive on digital HD September 12 and in a Blu-ray combo pack and DVD September 26. Directed by Johannes Roberts from a script he wrote with Ernest Riera, the movie stars Claire Holt, Mandy Moore, Matthew Modine, Chris Johnson, Yani Gellman and Santiago Segura. The synopsis: “Sisters Lisa [Moore] and Kate [Holt] become trapped at the bottom of the ocean when a diving expedition to observe sharks goes horribly wrong. When the cable attaching the cage sinks to the bottom of the ocean, the sisters must figure out a way to get back to safety battling injuries, lack of oxygen, and worst of all, bloodthirsty, great white sharks.”
The movie will be presented in 2.40:1 widescreen (1080p high definition on the Blu-ray), with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio on the Blu-ray and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVD.
