A longtime Appalachian legend is given a horrific new spin in the upcoming creature feature.

Vertical Entertainment will release THE DEVIL BELOW in select theaters and on VOD/digital platforms March 5. Visual effects supervisor (LET ME IN, GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS) and director (CHERNOBYL DIARIES) Bradley Parker helmed the film, scripted by Stefan Jaworski (THOSE WHO KILL) and Eric Scherbarth (expanding thematically on his award-winning short SINKHOLE). Alicia Sanz, Adan Canto, Zach Avery, Chinaza Uche, Jesse Latourette, Jonathan Sadowski and Will Patton star; the synopsis: “There is an abandoned place nestled deep in Appalachian country where underground coal mines have been ablaze for decades. When a team of researchers try to find out how the fires started, they soon discover something more startling than the mystery that sent them there: they’re not alone.”
