Announcing the winners for Sinister Nights, Rue Morgue and Slasher’s “Quarantine Short Film Competition”

Tuesday, June 2, 2020 | News

Sinister Nights and the SIN Film Festival, with Rue Morgue and Slasher, are excited to announce the winners of the Quarantine Short Film Competition!

The contest launched at the beginning of April. Participants from around the world had the month of April to produce a 7-minute (or less) short. 117 films were submitted from 10 different countries. The films were evaluated over the month of May. On June 1st, the Top 12 shorts were posted publicly. The public was able to view and evaluate (score) each film. These votes were aggregated and the films were ranked based on score.

The top scoring film determined the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD. The BEST OVERALL AWARD and the MOST CLEVER AWARD were determined by the SIN Film Festival judges in cooperation with the Quarantine Guest Judges (made up of filmmakers, actors, artists, writers, and influencers across the horror genre). Below are listed the winners and nominees for the BEST OVERALL and MOST CLEVER awards as well as the winner and 1st and 2nd runners up for the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD.
