Mike Mort’s Animortal Studios has unleashed a video of the classic Saxon song “Back on the Streets,” specially rerecorded for CHUCK STEEL: NIGHT OF THE TRAMPIRES. It’s packed with highlights of the over-the-top, splattery action from Mort’s horror/comedy, done in the same puppet-animation style as WALLACE & GROMIT creators Aardman Animations (where Mort once worked on SHAUN THE SHEEP). This movie, however, is decidedly not for kids; it’s an anti-PC epic homaging the fright flicks and police shoot-’em-ups of the ’80s, as renegade cop Chuck Steel (voiced by Mort) defies his always angry captain and teams with a Van Helsing-esque monster hunter to stop an invasion of alcohol-fueled ghouls and other creatures. Unfortunately, NIGHT OF THE TRAMPIRES has yet to land U.S. distribution, and is still seeking someone to bring it to the States; you can read our review of the movie here.
