Be careful what you wish for in trailer for Blumhouse’s “FANTASY ISLAND”

Leave it to Blumhouse to find the darker side of a TV classic: The trailer for the horror factory’s take on FANTASY ISLAND has hit the web.

FANTASY ISLAND touches down in theaters next Valentine’s Day (i.e., February 14, 2020) from Blumhouse and Columbia Pictures. Jeff Wadlow, who helmed Blumhouse’s TRUTH OR DARE, directs from a script he wrote with Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs, and the cast is headed by Michael Peña, Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Portia Doubleday, Jimmy O. Yang, Ryan Hansen and Michael Rooker. The synopsis: “The enigmatic Mr. Roarke [Peña] makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.” But where’s Tattoo?
