The last screams have only just stopped echoing from this year’s Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, and the organizers have now announced when the next one will run, and that filmmakers can submit to be a part of it.

The fifth edition of New York City’s coolest showcase for new and independent fright fare will once again run for eight days, October 15-22, 2020 in venues in Brooklyn, NY (including the key theater, the Nitehawk Cinema). Among the features that played at 2019’s BHFF, all with filmmakers and cast in attendance, were Adam Egypt Mortimer’s DANIEL ISN’T REAL, Joe Begos’ VFW, Frank Sabatella’s THE SHED, David Marmor’s 1BR, Travis Stevens’ GIRL ON THE THIRD FLOOR, Carlo Mirabella-Davis’ SWALLOW, Dean Kapsalis’ THE SWERVE and Larry Fessenden’s documentary DEPRAVED: MAKING FRANKENSTEIN IN A BROOKLYN LOFT.

Submissions of both feature and short movies for BHFF 2020 can now be made via FilmFreeway, and badges are already for sale at the fest’s official website. Keep your eyes there and here for updates on the event’s attractions!
