Anyone within driving distance of upstate New York will want to spend next weekend—Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 23—at the Dead ’Til Dawn Drive-In festival at the Hi-Way Drive-In. Read on for the details!

The shows begin at 7 p.m. each night at the Hi-Way (10699 State Route 9W, Coxsackie, NY), with all but one of the features presented in 35mm. The Friday lineup consists of two David Cronenberg films, THE FLY (pictured) and SHIVERS, along with the twisted Sybil Danning thriller JULIE DARLING and the drive-in classic MESSIAH OF EVIL. Saturday leads off with John Carpenter’s THE THING (in digital 4K), followed by the cult creature feature BLOOD BEACH, the Paul Naschy vehicle NIGHT OF THE HOWLING BEAST, the surreal period chiller EYES OF FIRE and the insane Shaw Brothers flick BLACK MAGIC. Tickets are just $12 per night, available at the box office each evening (open about an hour before showtime). Camping is available on site for an additional fee. For more info, check out the fest’s Facebook event page.
