Deck the halls with classic horror film posters this holiday season

Wednesday, December 12, 2018 | Collectibles

Bring home the finest in horror, exploitation and cult memorabilia through Canada’s own Poster-Mortem! The company features a wide selection of great original film posters for that horror collector who enjoys stockpiling these theater keepsakes. Here’s a peek at a few “in stock” posters available and ready to go right now.

If European zombies are your thing, look no further than the eye popping poster for 1979’s Zombie, directed by the great Lucio Fulci. Next up is 1987’s Zombie 5: Killing Birds, starring Robert Vaugn in a film where a group of students go into the woods to study birds before the dead rise to devour the living. Both posters have glorious gory artwork and would make a great additions to anyone’s horror crypt.

Next up are two classic horror gems that would look just as good framed on the wall as they do playing on your TV screen. The 1989 film Society introduces the viewers to a teenage boy who discovers his family is part of socially elite, gruesome orgy cult. This one’s definitely original to say the least. There’s also Freddy Krueger in Freddy’s Dead (1991). The film is one of the better and comical entries into the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. One two, grab this poster now too.

Finally, check out the poster for the 1982 film Humongous. The film follows a group of teens as they get shipwrecked on a Remote island, little do they know of the creature that lurks in the woods. Collectors will appreciate that this poster does a good job of telling a story without fully showing you the film’s main monster.

Poster-Mortem have these and countless other posters and goodies in stock, so don’t wait on these as with being original many of them will only have limited availability. Prices and availability can be found on via Poster-Mortem’s Facebook account or messaging them directly. Stuff those stockings this holidays and give that horror geek something horrific to hang on the walls.

The Curator of the Creepy collectibles. I've been an avid horror fan for over 3 decades. Meeting and writing about some of the finest artists from all over the world is a pure joy. I've written for multiple websites on the art and collectible front. The horror bug that lives inside me is well cared for and has been going strong since I watched my first introduction to horror through a grainy VHS copy of John Carpenter's 1978 classic film Halloween.
