Demons, Haunted Swordsmen, Cannibalism and more when “LITTLE TERRORS” returns this week!

Our monthly Toronto-based genre short film festival LITTLE TERRORS returns for our ninth season this Friday, November 29th, 9pm at Eyesore Cinema! The season premiere line-up includes Kevin McTurk‘s impressive new puppet-short The Haunted Swordsman, The Stylist director Jill Gevargizian‘s new short film One Last Meal, the deeply unsettling Fears from German Sancho, and much more. Tickets can be purchased in advance here, and will also be available at the door. Here’s the line-up:

Corgi (6 minutes, Australia, premiere)
DIR:  Michael Irwin
People at a carnival are drawn to a fortune telling machine.

Songs My Mother Taught Me (13 minutes, premiere)
DIR: Doug Cook
After losing their mother to cancer, two siblings throw a Halloween party to try and raise their spirits. Unfortunately, danger looms. From LT-alumni director Cook (Peephole).

Wild (11 minutes, premiere)
DIR: Jan Verdijk
When a father misbehaves during a weekend-holiday, his surroundings make him feel very unwelcome. Trailer

The Listening (4 minutes, premiere)
DIR: Doug O. Perkins
A group of young people travel to a cabin in the woods, with unexpected results.

Eilid + Damh (11 minutes)
DIR: Neil Cavlier
In the aftermath of an unspeakable act, two sisters must repair their relationship and find a way to move forward. Previous selection of Toronto After Dark.

The Haunted Swordsman (16 minutes)
DIR: Kevin McTurk
A samurai (Jason Scott Lee) sets off on a quest to avenge the death of his master, aided by an odd companion – a sentient severed head (James Hong). Told via extremely life-like puppets, this new short by LT-alumnus McTurk (The Mill At Calder’s End) must be seen to be believed. Also featuring the voice talents of Franke Potente and Christopher Lloyd! Previous selection of Toronto After Dark.

Bath Bomb (3 minutes)

A woman settles down for a relaxing bath. Big mistake.

Pandora (14 minutes)

A small team is sent out to find Pandora, a legendary supreme being which is capable of deciding the fate of the world. Trailer

One Last Meal (11 minutes)

The administration at a prison are unprepared for a death row inmates last request. From LT-alumnus director Sixx (The Stylist). Previous selection of Toronto True Crime Film Festival.

Fears (9 minutes, premiere)
DIR: German Sancho
Something terrifying creeps into a little girl’s room when the lights go out. Previous selection of Fantasia.
