The much-awaited new movie from the director of WENDIGO, HABIT and THE LAST WINTER is now set for release this fall.
IFC Midnight has announced that it has picked up U.S. rights to DEPRAVED, writer/director Larry Fessenden’s variation on the Frankenstein story. Fessenden also produced with Jenn Wexler and Chadd Harbold, and the movie stars David Call as Henry, a former military surgeon who brings a patchwork man he calls Adam (Alex Breaux) to life in a Brooklyn laboratory. He tries to acclimate his creation to the modern world, but Adam ultimately becomes violent and uncontrollable. The cast also includes Joshua Leonard (UNSANE), Ana Kayne, Chloë Levine (THE RANGER) and Addison Timlin (THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN); Brian Spears and Peter Gerner created the makeup effects.
IFC Midnight has released a number of past productions of Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix, and the filmmaker says, “I am truly jazzed to partner up again with IFC; they handle my whole canon of films and it feels like home. I look forward to getting this very personal monster movie out to the public in time for the Halloween season. Let’s do this!”
