Fresh off her turns in THE INVISIBLE MAN (pictured) and SHIRLEY, the actress is heading into a new psychological chiller.

Variety reports that Elisabeth Moss will star in RUN RABBIT RUN, for which worldwide distribution rights have been acquired by STX Entertainment. The film, which rolls in Australia later this year, casts the actress as a fertility doctor whose young daughter begins having frightening memories of a past identity. Daina Reid, who has been Emmy-nominated for helming Moss’ THE HANDMAID’S TALE, will direct from a script by Hannah Kent, based on an original idea developed with Carver Films (whose buzzed-about RELIC opens next month). Carver’s Anna McLeish and Sarah Shaw are producing RUN RABBIT RUN, along with Moss and her partner Lindsey McManus; genre specialists XYZ Films are executive-producing the movie. STX will directly handle the U.S., UK and Irish release, and is introducing the film to buyers at the current Cannes virtual market; Umbrella Entertainment will release it in Australia and New Zealand.

“Elisabeth’s outstanding performance and the huge success of THE INVISIBLE MAN make her a theatrical force to be reckoned with,” says STX’s Adam Fogelson. “A genre film that reunites Elisabeth with THE HANDMAID’S TALE director Daina Reid is an incredible opportunity and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this film together.”
