Etheria Film Festival’s “The Fourth Wall” To Stream on Shudder With BTS Footage

Wednesday, June 23, 2021 | Uncategorized

Considered to be one of the most exclusive film festivals with a tightly-edited program, the Etheria Film Festival will stream on AMC’s premiere horror and thriller platform, Shudder, as part of Etheria’s 2021 Film Festival showcase. The Fourth Wall is 1 of only 9 films to stream as part of the Etheria Film Festival and will be available to stream from June 25 – July 25th. The Etheria Film Festival is widely respected for its rigorously curated selection of genre short films by women directors. The festival is traditionally held at the Egyptian Theatre. However, due to Covid restrictions last year, the festival pivoted to a month-long showing on AMC’s Shudder – and is doing it again this year, in part due to the success of last year’s showcase.

Regardless of pandemic setbacks affecting festival runs, The Fourth Wall has taken home over 25 nominations and 18 wins, including Best Horror Film at Holly Shorts International Film Festival and Best Director (Kelsey Bollig) at Nola Horror Film Festival. Filmed in Paris, the short film stars Lizzie Brocheré (American Horror Story:Asylum), Roby Schinasi (Gossip Girl, The Path), and Jean-Marc Barr (Le Grand Bleu, Little Birds) and is executive produced by Edelweiss Productions. Bollig, who signed with CAA and Grand Management shortly after the festival release of The Fourth Wall, credits her cast and crew as a major part of its ongoing success.

In honor of Etheria Film Festival, Edelweiss Productions is releasing never-before seen #BTS video footage of writer/director Kelsey Bollig directing lead actress Lizzie Brocheré on set in Paris, as well as a #bts conversation with Bollig on what it’s like to film with the crew. “Working with the (French) crew was like working with artists intent on creating the Sistine chapel. The care and ownership that everyone applied to their craft raised the bar to a new level. It was inspiring to just be around them,” Bollig recalls.

The Fourth Wall and the rest of the Etheria Programming will be available to watch on Shudder from June 25 – July 25th. While a membership is required, Etheria Festival patrons can also utilize the 7 day free-trial membership to catch the festival.
