The wind blows drama and death in an exclusive excerpt from the modern giallo film KNIFE + HEART (opening in select theaters starting tomorrow) that you can check out after the jump.
Released by Altered Innocence, KNIFE + HEART begins its theatrical run in a pair of New York theaters before expanding to other cities; see the full schedule (including 35mm playdates) here. Yann Gonzalez directed the film from a script he wrote with Cristiano Mangione, and the cast is headed by Vanessa Paradis, Nicolas Maury, Kate Moran, Jonathan Genet and Romane Bohringer. The synopsis: “Paris, summer 1979. Anne [Paradis] produces third-rate gay porn. After her editor and lover Lois [Moran] leaves her, she tries to win her back by shooting her most ambitious film yet with her trusted, flaming sidekick Archibald [Maury]. But one of her actors is brutally murdered and Anne gets caught up in a strange investigation that turns her life upside-down. Shot on 35mm and featuring a killer retro score from M83, KNIFE + HEART is an ultra-stylish and blood-soaked ode to ’70s-era De Palma, Argento and Friedkin.”
