We previously told you here about THE CAMPUS, a new independent chiller from writer/director J. Horton (MONSTERS IN THE WOODS), and it’s now set for release in the coming months. Jump past the jump for the details and a few exclusive pics and words from the filmmaker, along with the trailer.

THE CAMPUS’ scenario is a horrific variation on GROUNDHOG DAY, and Horton tells RUE MORGUE, “It’s got home-invasion stuff, body horror, ghosts, zombies and the devil himself. Robert Bravo of BravoFX designed our devil, and it’s really next-level stuff. The movie stars Rachel Amanda Bryant, who’s incredible. You’ll be hearing a lot more from her in the next year or so.” The synopsis: “Robert [Robert C. Pullman] dies after breaking his deal with the devil, bringing his daughter home for the funeral. Morgan [Bryant] arrives with the intent of ripping off the family business but soon finds herself in a never-ending cycle of terror; being brutally murdered then resurrected over and over again—each time losing another piece of her soul.” The cast also includes Britt Sheridan and Scott Menville.

THE CAMPUS will have its theatrical premiere at Los Angeles’ Arena Cinelounge Sunset (6464 Sunset Boulevard) on Friday, January 26 and play through February 1. On that day, it becomes available exclusively on Amazon Instant through February 14, followed by iTunes and VUDU release in late February and Blu-ray/DVD editions in April.
