First stills, behind-the-scenes footage and release dates for Neill Blomkamp’s “DEMONIC”

The creator of DISTRICT 9 is going for serious supernatural scares in his latest film.

IFC Midnight has announced that DEMONIC, written and directed by Neill Blomkamp, will open in theaters August 20, followed by VOD/digital platforms August 27. The distributor has also released the photos seen above and below, as well as behind-the-scenes 8mm footage. Carly Pope, Chris William Martin, Michael Rogers and Nathalie Boltt star; the synopsis: “A young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades-old rift between mother and daughter are ruthlessly revealed in this horror-thriller.”
