Artist EMMA ROULSTONE of Derbyshire, England has been drawing all her life, and went on to formally studying her craft in both College and University. “My favorite medium is pencils, mainly because I like the look and feel they give to the work I am creating,” she says, “almost like a soft and delicate appearance.”
Deciding to branch off as self-employed in early 2017, Roulston only releases hand-drawn original artwork (no prints) which she sprays with a fixative to prevent smudging. All of her pieces are shipped out with a mount board frame attached to it to give it a more polished look. “People have made comments about prints, but that is not who I am,” she says. “I want the client to feel special knowing that the artwork they have purchased is the only one in existence.”
A fan of television and horror movies, Roulston often focuses her energies on the genre; not surprisingly, horror fans form her biggest customer base. Her commissioned pieces give her clients to have the distinct satisfaction of owning an original one-of-a-kind piece of art. Below are a few of her pieces currently available on her site for the about $140 USD plus shipping.
