Veteran independent horror director Charles Pinion is having a big week: He’s coming to New York for several screenings of his latest feature AMERICAN MUMMY (one of them in 3D!), as well as his past work, presented by Horror Boobs and Seminal Psychosis.

The festivities begin tomorrow, September 12, when the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Yonkers, NY (2548 Central Park Avenue) presents that dimensional screening of AMERICAN MUMMY as part of its 3-Delirium series. The show begins at 9 p.m., and also includes another variation on a classic monster: SAINT FRANKENSTEIN, the new short film by Scooter McCrae of SHATTER DEAD and SIXTEEN TONGUES. Both filmmakers will be on hand; for more information and tickets, click here. The same double feature (with MUMMY in 2D) with the directors present will take place this Saturday, September 16 at 11 p.m. at Manhattan’s Cinema Village (22 East 12th Street); for info, go here.

Also on Saturday, Pinion will attend a release party for Wild Eye Releasing’s AMERICAN MUMMY Blu-ray and DVD at 7 p.m. at Forbidden Planet (832 Broadway). In addition to the MUMMY discs, limited-edition DVDs of Pinion’s RED SPIRIT LAKE, TWISTED ISSUES and WE AWAIT, as well as the Pinion issue of Blood Video, will also be available for purchase and for Pinion to sign. Head over to the Facebook event page here. And if you want to take a deep dive into Pinion’s filmmaking past, check out the “Charley Crow Exposed” program at Queens, NY’s Superchief Gallery (1628 Jefferson Avenue) on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m. Crow was the director’s adult-film pseudonym, and this show will include specially abbreviated versions of movies including APOCALYPSE BABYLON, ARCHER’S LAST DAY and CORNHOLE ARMAGEDDON, plus the uncensored RED SPIRIT LAKE and THE MAGICIAN, a short film by LAKE co-star Tommy Turner, who will join Pinion at the event. See the Crow show’s Facebook event page here.
