Michael Myers is back and Laurie Strode thinks she’s ready for him in HALLOWEEN, the highly anticipated reboot of John Carpenter’s classic. The first official trailer has hit the web; check it out past the jump.

The new HALLOWEEN, directed by David Gordon Green from a script he wrote with Jeff Fradley and Danny McBride, sees Michael escape from captivity 40 years after his original rampage and head back to his stalking ground of Haddonfield. Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis, of course) has remained in the area all these years in anticipation of his return, and tries to stop him once and for all. The cast also includes Judy Greer as Laurie’s daughter and Andi Matichak as her granddaughter, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner and, as the Shape, the original’s Nick Castle as well as Jim Courtney. The Blumhouse/Malek Akkad production will be released by Universal October 19; look for lots of coverage in RUE MORGUE #183, on sale next month.
