If you’re into short horror, the folks at ALTER have you covered.  Rue Morgue wants to make sure you’re up-to-date on all of the cool stuff they have coming up, so each month we’ll be highlighting their upcoming releases.  Take a look at what they have planned for January 2022:

Here Comes a Thought (January 4)

Pete’s Putrid Peas (January 6)

An isolated social media influencer fights for his sanity while consuming nothing but peas for three weeks.

The Visit (January 11)
Director: Roxy Shih
A pregnant woman and her husband visit her aging grandmother in the rural mountains of Taiwan only to witness the older woman’s disappearance through the will of a malevolent mountain spirit.

Hit + Run (January 13)
Director: Austin Faust and Mike Wolfe
After a hit and run accident leaves a young woman dead, Elton must face the ghosts of his drunken decisions.

Astaroth (January 18)

A musician is convinced her actor boyfriend is having trouble getting out of character.

Evenfall (January 20)
Director: Dean Butler
A widower with supernatural abilities helps a local detective save her daughter from dark forces.

Condamned (January 25)
Director: Octavi Espuga
Jack, a weak old man, lives in seclusion in a dark and gloomy underground chapel. Haunted by the ghosts of his past, he’ll try to scape to the outside world, but a terrible secret will come out to prevent his departure. Jack will have to fight with all his strength in order to escape not only from that wretched place but also from himself.

Sleepwalker (January 27)

A husband’s attempt to keep his sleepwalking wife from injuring herself descends into chaos as he discovers she may be in the grips of mind control by an outside entity.
