With her co-starring role in Jordan Peele’s US (pictured) hitting theaters later this month, Elisabeth Moss is now poised to step into another high-profile genre project.

Variety reports that the actress is in early talks to topline THE INVISIBLE MAN for Universal. Leigh Whannell (UPGRADE) is writing and will direct the update of the studio’s classic horror character, the first in its series of new big-screen takes on its monster favorites, reimagined for modern audiences. Back when Universal was setting up the interconnected Dark Universe movie franchise, Johnny Depp was set to star in a new INVISIBLE MAN, but he’s not involved in this incarnation.
