The late, celebrated horror author Michael McDowell’s scripting credits include BEETLEJUICE, THINNER and TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE: THE MOVIE, but only now has one of his novels been adapted for a film. COLD MOON, based on his 1980 book COLD MOON OVER BABYLON, is on the way next month with quite an eclectic cast; read on to check out the poster and trailer.
COLD MOON will open in theaters in 10 markets as well as on VOD via Uncork’d Entertainment October 6. Directed by Griff Furst, who also adapted the novel with Jack Snyder, it stars THE COLLECTOR’s Josh Stewart (big day for him!), Christopher Lloyd, Robbie Kay, Candy Clark (Q, THE BLOB), Rachele Brooke Smith, Frank Whaley (LUKE CAGE, PULP FICTION), THE ROOM auteur/star Tommy Wiseau, Madison Wolfe (THE CONJURING 2) and Laura Cayouette. The synopsis: “In a sleepy Southern town, the Larkin family suffers a terrible tragedy. Now the Larkins are about to endure another: Traffic lights blink an eerie warning, a ghostly visage prowls in the streets and graves erupt from the local cemetery in an implacable march of terror… And beneath the murky surface of the river, a shifting, almost human shape slowly takes form to seek a terrible vengeance.”
