Alex Essoe, who first made a mark as the lead of Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer’s STARRY EYES, toplines the new psychothriller MIDNIGHTERS, which played festivals last year and now has a confirmed release date.

IFC Midnight will open MIDNIGHTERS March 2 in select theaters and on VOD and digital platforms. The film was directed by Julius Ramsay, whose credits include THE WALKING DEAD, from a script by Alston Ramsay, and the cast also includes Perla Haney-Jardine (DARK WATER, KILL BILL VOL. 2), Dylan McTee, Ward Horton, Andrew Rothenberg and Joseph Anderson. The synopsis: “Midnight, New Year’s Eve: when all the hopes of new beginnings come to life—except for Lindsey and Jeff Pittman [Essoe and McTee], whose strained marriage faces the ultimate test after they cover up a terrible crime and find themselves entangled in a Hitchcockian web of deceit and madness. MIDNIGHTERS is a layered, enigmatic thriller set in the Gothic backwoods of New England–the perfect place to get away with murder.” Check out a clip from the movie and its original poster below, visit its official website and look for more on MIDNIGHTERS as its release gets closer.
