A mind-teasing combination of science fiction, horror and family drama, FREAKS (seeing release tomorrow) is one of the year’s best and most unique genre films, and we’ve got a pair of clips to give you a taste of it.

Opening in theaters nationwide courtesy of Well Go USA, FREAKS was written and directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky (who talked to us about it here), and stars Emile Hirsch, Lexy Kolker, Bruce Dern, Grace Park and Amanda Crew. The synopsis: “A disturbed father [Hirsch] locks his bold 7-year-old daughter [Kolker] in a house, warning her of grave dangers outside. But the mysterious Mr. Snowcone [Dern] convinces the girl to escape and join him on a quest for family, freedom, and revenge.” For more on FREAKS, head over to its page at the Well Go USA website.
