Coming for Halloween, the supernatural chiller introduces a new unearthly creature.
Actually, COME PLAY is a feature-length expansion by writer/director Jacob Chase of his much-buzzed short film LARRY. Arriving in theaters October 30 from Focus Features, it stars Azhy Robertson, Gillian Jacobs, John Gallagher Jr. (10 CLOVERFIELD LANE, HUSH) and Winslow Fegley, with creature effects by the Jim Henson company, cinematography by Maxime Alexandre (CRAWL, THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE) and music by Roque Baños (DON’T BREATHE, EVIL DEAD). According to the official synopsis, “Robertson stars as Oliver, a lonely young boy who feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. When a mysterious creature uses Oliver’s devices against him to break into our world, Oliver’s parents [Jacobs and Gallagher] must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.”
