After scoring rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, the revenge shocker MANDY, featuring Nicolas Cage at his most unhinged (and that’s saying something), has scored U.S. theatrical distribution.

RLJE Films has announced that it has picked up all U.S. rights to MANDY, and will be releasing it exclusively to theaters this summer. Directed by Panos Cosmatos (BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW) from a script he wrote with Aaron Stewart-Ahn, the movie also stars Andrea Riseborough, Linus Roache, Bill Duke and Richard Brake (31). The synopsis: “Outsiders Red Miller [Cage] and Mandy Bloom [Riseborough] lead a loving and peaceful existence. When their pine-scented haven is savagely destroyed by a cult led by the sadistic Jeremiah Sand [Roache], Red is catapulted into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance and laced with fire.” Keep your eyes here for updates on MANDY’s release!
