Writer/performer Clay McLeod Chapman has been telling terrifying stories in spoken-word venues for more than 20 years, and he has made it personal with the “One-On-Ones” edition of his popular THE PUMPKIN PIE SHOW. Now he’s bringing it to the New York area.

From September 2-October 7, Chapman—whose credits range from several novels to scripting Craig William Macneill’s THE BOY and CHILLING VISIONS: 5 STATES OF FEAR to writing AMERICAN VAMPIRE and several SPIDER-MAN comics—will perform “One-On-Ones” at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place), presented by FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade. At these shows, Chapman will take one audience member at a time through tales of everyday horror; patrons can select their own story from a number of possibilities, or have Chapman choose for them. It’s a one-of-a-kind, intimate and scary experience; advance tickets ($15 each; they’re limited, so grab ’em fast!) are available here.
