A standoff occurs on the open ocean in the midst of the psychological and physical violence of HARPOON. Check out an exclusive excerpt from the horror/black comedy after the jump.

Released by Epic Pictures as part of the Dread line, HARPOON opens in select theaters this Friday, October 4 (with a special screening Thursday, October 3 at Brooklyn’s Nitehawk Cinema, accompanied by writer/director Rob Grant) and hits VOD and Blu-ray October 8. Munro Chambers (TURBO KID), Emily Tyra and Christopher Gray star, with narration by Brett Gelman (FLEABAG); the synopsis: Rivalries, dark secrets, and sexual tension emerge when three best friends find themselves stranded on a yacht in the middle of the ocean desperate for survival. With plenty of alcohol and very little food and water, emotions run high and their delusions become a reality. As the days stretch on and death seems inevitable, their terrifying truths float to the surface.”
