Spring is nearly here, and while many eagerly anticipate the arrival of warmer weather, horror fans have a far creepier cause for celebration. It’s Rondo season once again. The ballot for the 21st Annual Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards dropped just last week, and RUE MORGUE is up for an impressive five statuettes with multiple nominees across several categories.

Along with Best Magazine, RUE MORGUE is up for Best Article (“Hex of the Century,’ by Dejan Ognjanovic, RUE MORGUE #205 and “Send in the Clown” by Andrea Subissati, RUE MORGUE #208) and Best Interview (Alice Krige by Carly Maga, RUE MORGUE #207).

Your favorite horror mag dominates the Best Magazine Column category with three longtime writers garnering nominations (Devil’s in the Details by Stacie Ponder, Files from the Black Museum by Paul Corupe and It Came from Bowen’s Basement by John Bowen).

Artist Matthew Therrien’s stunning Summer of Psychic Children from issue #206 is up for Best Magazine Cover.

And finally, RUE MORGUE president Rodrigo Gudiño‘s film, THE BREACH has been nominated for  Best Independent/Limited Release Film of 2022
