Rue Morgue’s CineMacabre Movie Nights presents “ALUCARDA”

Monday, April 16, 2018 | Events

We sold our soul to bring you the Mexican nunsploitation classic ALUCARDA… praise Satan! (Thursday, May 17 at 8 PM; The Royal Cinema – Toronto)

ALUCARDA follows two young orphan girls named Justine and Alucarda, who live in a secluded convent. The two have an extremely close friendship and spend all of their time together, which occasionally drifts into a sexual relationship. On one day while playing, the two accidentally release a demonic force, and become possessed. Returning to the convent completely changed, the two unleash hellfire, blood and mayhem upon everyone around them.

This film is a required viewing for fans of horror’s affection for Satan in the 1970s, and is frequently listed as one of the most disturbing movies of all time. At a tight 78 minutes, ALUCARDA has no time for a fatty plot, and instead places its viewers on a careening ride towards the fiery and heinous ending. Come to The Royal Cinema and Hail Satan this May!
