Classic feline fear and fresh insanity are on Severin Films’ Blu-ray plate for next month; read on for the full info and cover art on these three titles.

On May 14, Severin drops FX-master-turned-filmmaker Gabe Bartalos’ underground horror film ST. BERNARD (pictured above, also launching that day on digital platforms) and wrestler/actor/director Brick Bronsky’s MASKED MUTILATOR on disc for the first time. ST. BERNARD follows a deranged orchestra conductor (Jason Dugre) on a strange journey that brings him into contact with Warwick Davis, Andy Kaufman cohort Bob Zmuda and punk legends The Damned, among others. MASKED MUTILATOR, shot 25 years ago and only recently completed, teams Bronsky (from the first two CLASS OF NUKE ’EM HIGH sequels and SGT. KABUKIMAN N.Y.P.D.) with fellow grapplers Jeff Sibbach and Doug “Flex” Yasinsky, along with CABIN FEVER’s James DeBello and makeup FX artist/FACE OFF star Glenn Hetrick. ST. BERNARD will come with a making-of featurette and a trailer, while MASKED MUTILATOR’s special features are:

  • Audio commentary by cast and crew (Dale Schneck, Tom Taylor, Paul Sutt, Steve Mittman and Jim “The Tank” Dorsey)
  • “You See Me Sweatin’?”: Interview with actor Tom Taylor
  • “Slice the Pretty Boy”: Interview with actor/FX artist Paul Sutt
  • “Scissors, Tape & Paste”: Interview with co-writer/co-executive producer Ed Polgardy
  • “Don’t Believe That, Folks”: Interview with co-writer/executive producer Dale Schneck
  • Audition tapes
  • “Mean” Gene Okerlund interviews Tom Taylor

On May 28, Severin unleashes THE UNCANNY, the 1977 Amicus anthology directed by Denis Héroux that explores the evil side of cats. The horror-star cast includes Peter Cushing, Ray Milland, Donald Pleasence, Samantha Eggar (THE BROOD), Susan Penhaligon (PATRICK), John Vernon (CURTAINS) and Alexandra Stewart; the new transfer scanned from a recently discovered internegative will be accompanied by the trailer and an interview with Penhaligon. Severin is also offering bundles with exclusive bonus items including a limited-edition slipcase and two original art prints for THE UNCANNY, and a slipcase, poster, patch, sticker and T-shirt for ST. BERNARD; a limited number of ST. BERNARD posters and slipcases will be signed by Bartalos. See them all at the Severin webstore.
