The genre streamer will debut the movie following its international premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

VIOLATION will be released exclusively on Shudder’s U.S., UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand platforms on a date to be determined next year. Written, produced and directed by Madeleine Sims-Fewer, who won the TIFF Rising Star Award following the movie’s well-reviewed world premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and Dusty Mancinelli, VIOLATION stars Sims-Fewer, Anna Maguire, Jesse LaVercombe, Obi Abili, Jasmin Geljo and Cynthia Ashperger. The synopsis: “VIOLATION is a turbulent feminist revenge fable that explores the idea of trauma within families and untangles a sticky web of resentment as a troubled woman on the edge of divorce embarks on a vicious crusade when her sister and brother-in-law betray her trust.”
