Shudder has a “CONFESSIONAL” to make next month

The scary streaming service has announced its latest feature acquisition for airing as a Shudder Exclusive next month.

CONFESSIONAL, directed by Brad T. Gottfred from a screenplay by Jennifer Wolfe, will have its Shudder premiere Thursday, May 28. Marcus Scribner, Paris Berelc, Vanessa Marano, Lucas Adams, Annalisa Cochrane, Jess Gabor, Brandon Larracuente, Jake Short and Mia Xitlali star; the synopsis: “After two mysterious deaths at a college on the same night, seven students are blackmailed into revealing what they know inside a hidden confession booth. Their confessions unveil the truth—not just about the deaths, but about the confessional as well.”

CONFESSIONAL joins a May lineup of Shudder Original premieres that also includes Brandon Christensen’s Z (which we told you about here), on Thursday, May 7, Huh Jong-Jo’s creature feature MONSTRUM (Thursday, May 14) and Seth Ickerman’s ’80s-style sci-fi thriller BLOOD MACHINES (Thursday, May 21), with a score by Carpenter Brut.
