With a few of his older films hitting Blu-ray this season, Dutch writer/director Dick Maas has announced that his more recent genre opus QUIZ has debuted on VOD to thrill international audiences.

Barry Atsma, Pierre Bokma, Kim van Kooten, Hanna Verboom, Stephan Evenblij and Marck Oostra star; according to the official synopsis, “The movie is about a famous game show host who is being harassed in a restaurant by a strange man who claims to have kidnapped his wife and daughter. A morbid game ensues in which the game show host turns out to be the contestant.”

“I’m proud to announce the world premiere of QUIZ on Vimeo,” says Maas, whose earlier AMSTERDAMNED is now on Blu-ray from Blue Underground, which releases THE LIFT and its U.S. remake DOWN on hi-def disc October 31. “The distribution world is changing, and filmmakers can share their movies now directly with their audience through on-demand services like Vimeo on Demand, iTunes and other platforms. It is an ideal way to make lesser-known movies available to the public. QUIZ is the first one of my movies to appear on Vimeo. KILLER BABES and SAINT will follow. Some will be available worldwide, others in selected countries.”
