The original “EVIL DEAD” is coming in 4K!

Sam Raimi’s THE EVIL DEAD will be sharper, darker and redder than ever when it makes its 4K debut later this year. Read on for the info and cover.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment releases THE EVIL DEAD in a 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (plus Blu-ray and Digital) October 9. The 4K disc will contain Raimi’s classic in 2160p Ultra High Definition and Dolby Vision (boasting highlights that are up to 40 times brighter, and blacks that are 10 times darker), in what is described as a 16×9 widescreen 1.33:1 presentation, with 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio. Also included is commentary by Raimi, producer Robert Tapert and star Bruce Campbell; retail price is $22.99.
