Peter Weller has a serious rodent problem in OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN, the 1983 cult chiller that receives its Blu-ray debut from Shout! Factory in May on the Scream Factory label. Full specs have now been revealed, to go with the cover art.

OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN, directed by George P. Cosmatos, casts Weller as a Wall Street hotshot who finds his private domain—an expensive Manhattan brownstone—threatened by a rat invasion that becomes his obsession. The Blu-ray, which arrives May 22, will present the movie in a new 2K scan from the interpositive, presented in 1.85:1 widescreen. Special features include:

  • New “The Origins of UNKNOWN ORIGIN”: An interview with executive producer Pierre David
  • New “That Rat Movie”: An interview with screenwriter Brian Taggert
  • New “Hey, Weren’t You in SCANNERS?”: An interview with actor Louis Del Grande
  • Audio commentary by director George P. Cosmatos and actor Peter Weller
  • Theatrical trailers
  • Still gallery

Retail price is $29.99, but you can pre-order the Blu-ray at the Shout! Factory website for $23.99 and get it shipped two weeks early.
