“The Wretched” Wins Grimmfest’s Best Scare Award — Sponsored By Rue Morgue

Grimmfest, Manchester’s International Festival of Fantastic Film, has announced the award winners of its 2019 lineup! Celebrating its eleventh year, the independent genre film festival offered up its biggest slate of premieres to date with juried awards sponsored by some of the biggest names in the horror biz.

Rue Morgue is proud to have sponsored the “Best Scare” award, which went to THE WRETCHED, Drew T. and Brett Pierce’s tale about a defiant teenage boy who faces off with a thousand year-old witch living next-door. Special mention also went to Justin Dix’s BLOOD VESSEL.
