There’s an eerie light in the dark woods in “GRETEL & HANSEL” teaser poster

A frightening fairy tale is coming to theaters early next year, and the first, creepy poster has been released.

Orion Pictures will release GRETEL & HANSEL, from THE BLACKCOAT’S DAUGHTER director Osgood Perkins, January 31, 2020. Written by Rob Hayes, it stars Sophia Lillis (IT), Sammy Leakey, Charles Babalola, Alice Krige (SLEEPWALKERS, STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT) and Jessica De Gouw, and was produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (SINISTER, UPGRADE) and Fred Berger (DESTROYER). The synopsis: “A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl [Lillis] leads her little brother [Leakey] into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.”
